Niro (Bowen Design) Spray Dryer With BB-3 Type Spray machine Conical Bottom drying chamber is 12' diameter x 6' 7" straight side, and utilize a co current air flow design. Elevation to top of dryer is 25' 7". This is a complete system with the spray dryer and bag house mounted out doors. Feed related equipment is mounted indoors on a skid. Dryer details are as follows: Supply air; 1385 acfm. Natural gas; 27.9 acfm. Feed; 1725 lbs/hr. Product 525 lbs/hr. Evaporation rate 1200 lbs./hr. Process gas inlet temp. = 1100 degrees F. BB-3 spray machine with complete controls including a Penthouse control panel, feed valve, automatic force oil lube system by Sloan Brothers, and Magnetek GPD 505 VSC variable motor speed system. Bag house is manufactured from 321 SS, rated for 400 degrees F, with an air volume of 1850 scfm, and air to cloth ratio of 3.9:1. Blower is CS, by New York blower, series 45, size 224 and rated for 3000 cfm at 3127 rpm. Other support equipment includes a 400 gallon, fiberglass mixing feed tank, and related pumps. Auto valves are by Fischer, instrumentation is by Rosemount.

Flat bottom, with a center bottom discharge Chamber diameter 94.25". Inlet air to the chamber is heated by a direct gas fired air heater Gas Air heater is manufactured by Maxon, type Air Flow Burner series NP. The burner uses a spark ignited pilot and control is by Maxon Series "Q" butterfly valve. Hot air enters the chamber through an air distributor on top of the chamber. The distributor has vanes that are adjustable to control the air flow pattern into the chamber. As a standard feature, a cooling ring is built in around the inlet area.
