• A decanter type centrifuge, also known as a solid bowl centrifuge, is a machine used to separate solids from liquids in a slurry. It's a vital piece of equipment in many industries, including wastewater treatment, chemical processing, oil and gas, and food and beverage.

• How it Works:

  • Decanter centrifuges use centrifugal force to separate the components of a mixture. The slurry is fed into a rotating horizontal bowl. The high-speed rotation generates strong centrifugal forces, up to 4000 times the force of gravity, causing the denser solids to be pushed against the bowl wall, while the less dense liquid forms a concentric inner layer. A screw conveyor inside the bowl, rotating at a slightly different speed, continuously transports the separated solids to a discharge point.
