46.5 MMSCFD Linde-designed Steam-Methane Reformer (SMR) facility including feed preparation, reformer, syngas cooling, steam generation, hydrogen separation, carbon dioxide removal section (amine section), and carbon dioxide compression for recycle.
-
The SMR was redesigned and upgraded by Linde to improve several sections and to increase the syngas capacity. The specific upgrades include several new radiant tubes and all (36) new low-NOx burners.
-
The DCS is by Yokagawa and it is completely programmed and ready to install. The hardware is still at Yokagawa.
-
The process is being kept under a nitrogen blanket. All electric motors are being “bumped” weekly or they have been removed and are in climate- controlled storage.
-
There is no asbestos in this facility.
-
Many spare parts are available.
-
This system is located on a major deep-water port with international shipping routes.
-
There are several other process units available at this site, including a complete new Fischer- Tropes Gas-to-Liquid (GTL) facility designed specifically for higher-value wax production. There is also a new product fractionation unit and a new wax upgrade (hydrogenation) unit. Utility systems include a new 200 ton Carrier mechanical refrigeration unit (MRU) and a 30,000 lb/hr auxiliary steam boiler. Much of the equipment in the newer sections is modular construction which is easy to dismantle and ship.
