Skid mounted turbine generator package
This set is designed to recover the work available in high pressure steam that would normally be lost when the steam passes through a pressure reducing valve
The system consists of a backpressure steam turbine driving a synchronous generator mounted on a skid
The control system automatically controls the flow of the steam through the turbine, thereby controlling the pressure in the low pressure header.
The major components are as follows:
Turbine by Coppus Engineering, Model # RLHA-19, Serial # 94H9489. This is a single-stage, impulse type turbine. Capable of delivering 404 HP at 3600 rpm, designed for 23,075 lbs. /hr, of dry saturated steam at 210 psi.
Generator is manufactured by Kato, and is high efficiency design, synchronous, and brushless, and revolving field style ; Type: 26182
Operating at 3600 rpm, delivering 480 volt, 3 ph, 60 Hz, 283 kW of output. Alternator kW continuous, 285, 60 Hz, 277/480v, 428.5 amps. Exciter Arm "C" # 3007-10, Exciter Field "C" # 18058-10. The control panel and circuit breaker handle synchronization, metering, protection and other functions.
