turbo dryer. all Contact parts are 304ss including the feed chute, trays, levelers, discharge tray and chute. Unit has a direct fired gas burner, rated 6 mm BTU, 15,000 to 20,000 CFM air flow. Drive train completely refurbished in 2013 with a new clutch, transmission and main bearings. Dryer air is heated by a gas fired burner manufactured by Eclipse, Model CM 2571. 8250 cfm of air for the dryer is supplied by a New York blower, model AF 30, driven by a 60 HP ac motor. Complete with support equipment including fan, heater, and bag house. Currently controlled by Allen Bradley PLC. Unit was field erected and the entire dryer is bolted construction. Each tray has 24 pie shaped segments that bolt together with an rim around the lip of each tray that is also 3 sections bolted together. The housing can also be unbolted. The base with drive can be shipped in one piece. Unit production rate depends on inlet moisture, temperature, etc. For example - 80,000 lbs per hour @ 18 % moisture or 52,000 lbs per hour @ 0.03% moisture outlet. The original design was for a lime and sand blend of 76,200 lbs./hr. @ 18% wet basis, with a dry product output of 62,800 lbs./hr. @0.5% wet basis. Some other original design specs are: Entrainer flow to dryer: 67,500 ACFM @ 900 degrees F.; Heat consumption: 23.6 mm BTU/hr.; Exhaust from drying zone- 44,500 ACFM @ 300 degrees F. : exhaust from system- 20,500 ACFM at 300 degrees F., and temperature in dryer is 300 degrees F in the top and 400 degrees in the bottom. A full set of erection and dismantling instructions are available along with technical documents.

Wyssmont dryers, also known as Wyssmont Turbo-Dryers, are vertical tray dryers designed for continuous drying of difficult-to-handle materials. These systems use a series of slowly rotating trays within a stationary vertical housing, with heated air or inert gas passing through for efficient and uniform drying. With more than 47 years of expertise, IPP supplies used and surplus Wyssmont dryers sourced from 20 complete plant sites and backed by a vast inventory of over 15,000 process systems.
Wyssmont dryers are known for their ability to process sticky, heat-sensitive or abrasive products that would clog or degrade in other types of dryers. Their enclosed design also minimizes product loss and exposure to oxygen or contaminants.
Built for durability and clean processing, Wyssmont dryers are typically constructed from:
