Fiberglass (Derakane 470), acid mist scrubbing system. Designed to treat acid laden fumes prior to atmospheric discharge. Manufactured by Celicote, model SPT-12-60. Rated for -2” WC to +6” WC up to 150 degrees F. Major components are tower VF573, VF574, tower VF 572, and pumps, IPP stock numbers 233893 and 233896 Tower VF573 is Fiberglass Derakane 470, and bolts by a flange to vessel VF574 Its specifications are 24” diameter x 186” overall length. Flange for bolting to tank is 24”. Side mounted nozzles are one 9”, two 8”,two 4.25”, and two 4” Outlet flange is 6”. This column is packed with saddles. Recirculation tank (VF574) is fiberglass (Derakane 470) , and has a capacity of 1200 gallons It is 64” diameter x 105” long with dished heads , and has the following nozzles: One 24” nozzle for VF573, one 19” top nozzle, two 5” nozzles, one 3” nozzle and four 1.5” nozzles Secondary gas stream flow is handled by VF572, Derakane 470, packed tower containing plastic tellerettes This tower is 15” diameter x 151” long, and has one 6” nozzle, two 4” nozzles, three 1.5” nozzles, and one 1” nozzle. Recirculation is handled by a Teflon lined centrifugal pumps, (IPP stock numbers 233896 & 233893) one is operational and the other an in line spare.

Their specs are as follows: 160 GPM at 80 Ft./Hd., Teflon lined wetted end, horizontal centrifugal pump. Manufactured by Durco. Mark II Serial # 0605-2071. 3 x 2 x 10 with a mechanical seal on shaft. Base mounted and direct driven. Powered by a Reliance Duty Master 10 HP AC motor. rated for 1755 rpm, 230/460 volt, 23.8/11.9 amp, 3 phase 60 Hz. TEFC Enclosure. Frame L 215 T. 50" long x 22" wide x 22" high. Typical operating conditions are as follows: Recirculation to VF573 is 15-21 GPM.
