Refurbished direct fired This dryer has (6) sets of 12 flights in the drying chamber each 4" wide x 2" thick x 12" long, with product discharge fingers designed to maximize drying. This dryer has external knockers designed to keep the product flowing freely in the feed end. This dryer features a hot air heating system designed to be heated by steam. The steam chest is rated for 256000 BTU/Hr., and has been hydro tested to insure no leakage occurs in the coils. This rotary dryer driven is chain driven by a manually variable speed drive and features a 2.0 HP 3/60/230/460V 1750 rpm motor through an overhauled gear reducer. Other recent work performed is a new seal on the discharge end, Inlet seal has been cleaned, lapped and fitted, all new lubrication lines to the tires,(auto lubricators) and the knockers have been tested and lubricated.   • CS, with rubber lining, Vapor Body, with Alloy support accessories, forced circulation crystallizer, part of a Zero Discharge System (ZLD). The system's major equipment consists of a shell and tube evaporator heater, Vapor body, recirculation pump and centrifuge. Rated for 50 GPM flow10% moisture) and consumes 20 psi steam at 25,00 lbs./hr. Following is a short process description: The feed from Brine Evaporator enters the recirculation piping above the recirculation pump. The feed is mixed with recirculating brine slurry and pumped through the heater where it increases in temperature and is sent to the vapor body. The hot brine flashes down to the saturation pressure inside the vessel, producing vapor and the cycle is repeated. Crystals are formed continuously in crystallizer vapor body and have to be removed. Concentrated product is removed from the system, passed through a centrifuge to remove the solid crystals and is returned to the evaporator recirculation line. The crystals are sent to a landfill. Vapor from the crystallizer is sent to a small barometric condenser using cooling water to condense the vapors. Condensate is mixed with incoming cooling water and is discharged back to the cooling tower. Vent from the condenser is vented by a CS ejector, through a silencer, and out to the atmosphere. Prime condensate from the condensed plant stream is sent back to the primary feed heater to assist in heating incoming Brine Evaporator feed. The following are main components of the system: Stock #228100- crystallizer heater is 5,700 Ft2 of surface area, with 1040 straight tubes, 1.25”OD x 0.028” wall thickness x 12 Feet long, and are constructed of Titanium. The tube sheets are SS316 Ti clad. Heads are made of SS alloy AL6XN & Shell of SS316L. The Crystallizer stock # 228156 is 16’ Dia. x 30’ Overall Height with 60” cone bottom. It is made of rubber lined Carbon steel. (the crystallizer vessel was removed , we have a drawing so a new vapor body can be constructed.) The Crystallizer recirculation pump, stock #228104 is 19,000 GPM with 150 HP motor and fabricated from SS alloy. The centrifuge stock #228101 is Bird Bowl type, 24" diameter x 38" long, rated for 18,304 Lbs./hr. with SS316L contact parts, 30 HP Motor with SS alloy product contact parts.

  • Falling film evaporator with mechanical vapor recompression, part of a Zero Discharge System (ZLD). The Evaporator includes the following major components: the evaporator, a circulation pump, a compressor, the deaereator, a distillate system, the feed heaters, and associated pumps. Each evaporator shares a common feed tank and seeding system.
  • This evaporation system was previously used in a Zero Discharge System by a major Utility company. It was designed and engineered by Bechtel, and utilizes a seed-slurry process to maintain heat transfer tubes in a scale controlled manner. The process has been maintained in excellent shape.
  • The main evaporator (Plant # BC-1/2) is a Model 130T designed by RCC and manufactured by Plant Maintenance Services, and has 13,000 square foot of surface area in the tube section. The construction Alloys are Titanium, AL6XN, and 316 SS. The design conditions for the condenser shell are 8 psig internal and 2 psig external at 250 degrees F. The condenser tubes are rated for full flooding and 8 psig external at 250 degrees F. The floor and sump are rated for full flooding and 2 psig at 250 degrees F. The evaporators dimensions are 88" OD at the condenser, 106" OD in the mid section and 134"OD at the sump/skirt. Overall height is 54' 11". The unit is skirt mounted. The tubes are 2" OD x 0.028" wall thickness x 24' long with a titanium top tube sheet and a AL6XN bottom tube sheet. The vessel includes two 30" manway for top and side access, and structural steel with stairs and platforms.*The recirculation pump(Plant # P-034-A/B) is an AC/ITT single stage, open impeller, horizontal centrifugal pump. It is a model # 150, size 14 x 12 x 21 PWO, with packing on the main shaft. It is rated for 5000 GPM at 40' TDH. The material of construction is Austenitic SS (CD4MCU). It is a base mounted direct coupled pump, driven by a 75 HP AC motor. The motor is rated for 60 Hz, 3 ph, TEFC with a 497 T frame.Mechanical Vapor recompression is provided by a Roots centrifugal blower( Plant # C-002-A/B), in a skid mounted package with an electrical driver. The blower is a Type 360IB, serial # HA3352. It is rated for 1233 lbs./minute, with an inlet volume of 30,003 ACFM, at 14.82 psi, with a specific gravity of 0.622. The inlet temperature is rated for 217 degrees F and the discharge pressure is 20.2 psi. It operates at 7309 RPM. It has a Lufkin gear increaser, and is driven by a Siemens 1000 HP ac motor. The motor is rated for 3/60 1460 volts. The skid mounted unit includes controls, oil system, and oil cooler.
